Braided Puff Booties

Braided Puff Booties

These textured booties were inspired by StitchfulThinking's Pumpernickel Puff Hat - I asked for her permission to utilize the general stitches in these booties.
I had a lot of fun designing these in the baby size but also included suggestions to make them larger (I have made these in toddler size and adult but they have not been tested in these sizes officially).

Before we get started add this pattern to your favorites on Ravelry or download the low-cost ad-free PDF for a version that also includes tips to make this fit child, teen, and adult.

Skill Level - Intermediate

MATERIALS

 Worsted Weight Yarn (Medium #4)
Crochet Hook G (4mm)
Ruler/Measuring Tape
Tapestry Needle
Stitch Marker

NOTES

Gauge: Finished sole = 3.5” long for smaller size, 5” long for larger size
Always join to first stitch of round, slip stitch does not count as a stitch
Red Heart Super Saver was used in the blue example; Bernat Satin was used in pink example.
When working in the round on smaller objects, I like to mark the first stitch with a stitch marker (or safety pin / bobby pin) for ease of joining at ends of rounds
